Who am I?
Lim Weng Khong aka Wengkius (top secret codename)

Where am I?
Currently residing in Bayan Baru, Penang (a quaint little tropical island off the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia).

Are you like... very old?
Maybe. Depends how you look at it. I'm currently 19 years old and still growing (sad to say... I don't want to grow up! Argh.

Can you let us know when your birthday is so that we can shower you with gifts?
Why yes. Since you asked, I'm born on the 3rd of May in 1983. Anyway, gifts of all sorts are welcome throughout the year. So please be generous.

You look weird. Do you go to school?

I do? Gosh, I didn't realize. Anyway, when I was very small, my parents tried to send me to Sik Aun Kindergarden, but due to certain circumstances, I finally spent my pre-school years in another place called Trinity Methodist Church Kindergarden. Then, I spent another 6, rather uneventful years in Batu Lanchang Primary School. Quite a nice place to be but I was too small to realize how enjoyable it was. Then, by stroke of luck I guess, I managed to make it to the "world-famous" Penang Free School. Okay, so it's not really that famous, but I sure did have a great time there bumming around with my friends. Yeah, like it was really extreme bumming. Couldn't believe it. So now I'm spending my last few years of formal schooling in this place called Tunku Abdul Rahman College. To be honest, it ain't a very fun place for me because of cultural differences in the college. But still, I'm grateful to have a couple of cool friends there, aptly named the BP Gang.

College? Wow! What course are you taking?

Err... I am now taking working my way to a Diploma in Computer Science. Yeah, it's a 2 year course. Then I'm probably going to head off to UTAR or some other weird university to complete my Bachelors in Computer Science. Why Computer Science? You know what? I don't even know myself. But I guess computers have always been a familiar thing to me. Besides, I have so many interests that I can't really choose one from all. So I guess CS is an okay course to take. It's something I could do for a living. :)

So what do you do when you're free?
Buayaing? Nah... just kidding. As I said, I have many interests. Most of the time, I'm online surfing around or checking e-mails from friends. Used to IRC, but then I realized it's kinda pointless. Apart from that, I found out that I'm getting FAT. Hahah. So as part of my efforts to prevent things from going worse, I've been swimming and hiking pretty often. Hiking is a fun thing, coz I get to explore places. Apart from that, astronomy seems to be an interesting thing to do and sometimes I hang out at the USM Astronomy Club because they have cool telescopes. Recently, a friend of mine got me hooked up to watching TV and now, I have become a couch potata and TV addict. When I have nothing to do, I usually go for long drives around Penang Island. Don't know why but maybe it allows me to unwind. I have so many other things that I do that I can't explain them all here. So you're better off looking for them in the other sections of this site. But then again, my number ONE pastime is hanging out with my friends. It doesn't matter where I guess, just as long as we can engage in whimsical (I mean it) and nonsensical discussions. Hahah. Usually we hang out at food joints late at night such as the venerable MAMAK STALLS that are ever prevalent in Penang as well as some food courts like Safari. If it's in the afternoon, you can be sure that more of then not, we will be at 1-Stop. I don't know why. But it seems that our AUTOPILOT has locked on to that place. Yes, all of us have AUTOPILOT navigation systems. If no one tells the driver where to go, the driver will take us to a pre-set destination of his choice.

You seem to be okay in English. What other languages can you speak?

Well, I can also speak fluent Malay, which is quite a useful language when you're living in Malaysia. Apart from that, it shouldn't be surprising to many that I can also speak Hokkien pretty well since most of the people living here can speak this ancient Chinese dialect. Okay, so it's not ancient. Anyway, I'm still trying to make up for my years of neglect towards Mandarin. I have become a pariah in my college because 99.8% of the people there come from Chinese secondary schools. So, in order to understand their conversations, and to determine whether they are cursing me in a language don't know, I've started learning Mandarin. Actually, I can understand Mandarin pretty well but I can't really speak much except for the basic survival phrases. So that's about it.
But ask my friends and they'll tell you that I can sing Punjabi songs and Tamil songs. It's true you know?

Can you curse in those languages?
Hahah. That's for me to know and for you to find out. :Þ

Are you the 'bohemian' type of person? Like what type of music do you listen to?
I'm not really sure which genre I'm really in to because I listen to almost every type of music except for the heavy metal type which I find too noisy for my liking. For me, language is no barrier as I listen to not ony English tracks but also Mandarin, Cantonese, Bahasa Melayu and Japanese ones. Sometimes, I don't really understand the lyrics but I kinda enjoy the music.

Do you like cartoons?
Argh.. yeah! I love cartoons. But not those kiddie types mind you. I'm currently like sooo hooked on The Simpsons. It's produced by this way-cool guy named Matt Groering. He also produces another cartoon series called Futurama which is like totally awesome. It's really funny coz the jokes are all connected to real-world people and happenings. Oh.. and lately, there's been this Japanese anima called Vandread. The concept is really cool. You people must watch it for yourselves to know how nice it is.

Oh.. oh.. we heard that you're this goodie-two-shoes type.. tell us more!
Hey! Is that meant to be an insult? Come on! Hahah. Anyway, somewhere in the early half of 2002, I got myself involved as a volunteer at a local hospital called Penang Adventist Hospital. OKay... I admit that at first I was in it so that I could see people getting cut up in the operating theatre because we got go observe surgery being done. But after some time, I realized that it was pretty fun after all. Nowadays, I mostly volunteer at the Emergency Department because that's where my interest is in, EMS (Emergency Medical Services). It's quite exciting sometimes because I get to follow the ambulance out occasionally to pick people up. Overall, it's quite a nice thing to do, plus it takes my mind off the sad realities of college life. Hahah.
