Form One
Wow! Those few months of suspense after my primary school UPSR examinations finally ended when I got my acceptance letter from Penang Free School. I guess everyone wanted to go to this school because of its good reputation. Our first day at the school was mainly filled with awe due to the sheer size of our new school. Everything there was HUGE, the field, the buildings, the canteen, the whole nine yards. Anyway, the entire year was pretty cool. My class had numerous familiary faces from Primary School like Yean Hsiang, Stephen and Wai Keong. We were quite passionate about our class notice boards, which we painstakingly filled with articles and posters. Despite this being our first year, we had to attend numerous scout meetings. They were held almost everyday! I also joined the Computer Club. Well, the main perk of being in this club is getting to use the school's computer facilities, which was great because I didn't have an internet connection at home back then.

Form Two
Nothing much changed this year, since my class composition was still the same. One unfortunate thing that happened was that our class was a floating class, which meant that we had to go from class to class for each session. It was irritating but I guess we got used to it. It was a busy year for us scouts because we were seniors now (in the junior troop that is, how ironic). We stayback after school everyday for like the first half of the year to prepare for our troop's first campfire. Then we had to prepare for our ATC. Then came JOTA and then finally TRAPLEX. I guess we didn't really have any time off. As for the Computer Club, we were also busy due to our involvement in various competitions such as the National School Web Site Design Competition and the AT&T Virtual Classroom. As a result of that, we frequently skipped classes, sometimes for the entire day (with the blessing of the Headmaster, can you believe it?). So, it wouldn't be a surprise to anyone that most of our grades plummeted.

Form Three
This year can be considered a honeymoon year. We were relieved of our duties in the scout troop after the first half of the year, so all we did was attend 1 camp and a few gatherings. We did attend the year-end TRAPLEX camp too, but that was after the dreaded PMR exams. My class was 3 Zamrud, and I must say that we were quite a whimsical class! We fought our class treasurer with the 'No Taxation Without Representation' campaign, christened the extra tiny little room in front of our class the 'Bilik Maksiat' and spent time talking nonsense. One thing I will never forget is the last minute panic sessions that I had for not doing a single thing for my 'folios' until the night before the deadline. Sheer terror! Anyway, PMR came pretty fast and was quite a breeze (haha, objective papers) and then after that we spent the entire holidays preparing for the TRAPLEX camp. *sigh* no rest at all. Overall, I would say that Form Three was quite a relaxing year for me.

Form Four
Wow! What a busy year. I was involved in this opera thingie called 'The Land of Smiles'. Can you believe it? Anyway, I got to learn some cool stuff like waltzing and singing. So it was a pretty nice experience. We also got ourselves embroiled in lots of scouting stuff like the Scout Car Grand Prix. I did much during the beginning but somehow I slacked off. Lousy Chief Engineer. Hahah. I think they sacked me somewhere along the way. Anyway, our car was pretty nice and we had great plans for it like a suspension system and stuff like that. It somehow ended up much tamer, but still had a cool cockpit-like door. I also attended the ATC camp, which was quite fun because we were all Ventures and had no problem building our gadgets. Could even spend mornings lazing around and enjoying proper meals smuggled in by our friends. Anyway, the biggest camp we attended was JOTA. The preparation was long and tedious though I didn't attend a lot of meetings (I didn't plan on joining at the beginning). I joined 2 patrols (yeah, pretty weird) and participated in the drilling and web design competitions. It was quite a disastrous outing. Even though we built arguably the best campsite, we still lost due to certain reasons. Maybe it's because SOMEONE CURSED OUR SUB-CAMP. How was school? I guess it was okay. But then, somehow, I didn't remember much about school for that year. Weird. At the year end, we attended the TRAPLEX camp. It was great because we got had a strong unit and everything worked out. We even had time to do crazy stuff like writing songs and filming MTVs. In the end, we even managed to win Best Overall. Hahah. Great camp with great unit mates.

Form Five
Ahh.. the year of terror. This year we were facing the allmighty SPM exams. Anyway, the most memorable thing I did this year was joining the Science Fair. We worked on a 'never-done-before' experiment to transmit electricity using radio waves to remotely power an LED and guess what? After months of trial and error we finally got it to work! Thinking about it, we risked our lives to make it work. I even got shocked by 25kV of electricity (of very low current, of course). It was really funny. I instantly jumped away and landed on Charles' feet. I was laughing like a jackass and he was screaming in pain. I don't know. I always laugh when accidents happen. Just ask my friends. Sad to say, the judges at the fair had no taste and we didn't get any awards. They'll regret someday I tell you! This year, I also got my vehicle licenses (motorcycle and motorcar). So I finally had the freedom of mobility! Hahah. Due to constructions going on in my school, they left the side gate open. So, we took the opportunity to skip class. We would go to school early in the morning and meet up, then leave school in our cars to have breakfast at Line Clear in town. It was a *SMASHING* time for all of us. The CS freaks would ponteng school and head off to Cyrex while we the Sesat gang would go for dimsum or mamak breakfasts and then lepak around, even once at the beach. Somehow, we were never arrested. Of course, throughout the year, we attended numerous tuition classes, which were great coz we got to kapsiau during the classes. We even brought our food and ordered pizza to be delivered to the tuition. Hahah. SPM came quickly. Thankfully, it wasn't too hard for me. So there wasn't any worries about it. Anyway, I think the coolest part of Form Five is getting to drive to school. Really, it was a very liberating thing.

Form Six
I was in Form Six? Yes I was. Getting really bored with the long holidays after SPM, I decided to sign up for this thing. Anyway, it wasn't really fun because most of my buddies weren't there. So needless to say, I dropped out after nearly 2 months in Form Six. I did attend the Orientation Ball though, which I must say was pretty lousy (not as lousy as my college's though).
